Executive Officer – South West Sport

South West Sport has a position for a highly motivated and innovative Executive Officer to lead and inspire our skilled team to bring health and wellbeing to the South West Victorian community through the sport and active recreation sector.

The successful applicant will be required to have a wide range of management and interpersonal skills. An understanding of the principles of community development and inclusive practices is essential.

The role requires a proven ability to drive organisational & revenue growth and detailed knowledge of the sport and recreation industry. Knowledge and familiarity with the structure and operations of community sporting clubs would be an advantage.

South West Sport has a Head Office in Warrnambool, though we offer a flexible work environment.  Travel and evening/weekend work will be required.

Applicants should have an appropriate tertiary qualification in Business Management – Community Development – Sports Management – Health Promotion or substantial relevant experience.

South West Sport – Board of Management

The South West Sport Board is currently recruiting and have two vacancies. Skill sets that are preferred but not critical include an understanding of the disability and or youth sector, finance, governance, human resources .  

The organisations vision is to be a leading organisation in the sport and recreation sector that is pivotal in developing healthier, more inclusive, and active communities in the South West of Victoria.

Applicants from Warrnambool, Moyne, Glenelg, Southern Grampians and Corangamite are all encouraged as it is important to South West Sport that all shires are represented.
