August South West Games Meeting Focuses on Social and Modified Sport

Social and Modified Sport was the topic of debate on Wednesday night at Glenelg Shire Council

On Wednesday 28th August, Social and Modified Sport took centre stage at the South West Games Monthly Meeting held at Glenelg Shire Council in Portland.

South West Sport presented an information session to a number of Sports Clubs from around the Glenelg region.

With many traditional forms of sport seeing a decline in membership numbers – it’s time for Clubs to think outside the box and look to alternative means and methods to attract members.

Social sport includes more flexible, fun and less-structured opportunities with a focus on social interaction, and less emphasis on performance, results and competition.
