September Games Meeting Focuses on Marketing and Social Media

Marketing and Social Media for Clubs was discussed during Wednesday night’s meeting.

On Wednesday 25th September, Marketing and Social Media was the topic of discussion at the South West Games Monthly Meeting held at Glenelg Shire Council in Portland.

Clubs need to be competitive on and off the field, so promoting, or marketing, your Club is essential.

Similarly, the retention of members is as important as attracting new members, and keeping the ones you have ensures the Club’s future.

South West Sport presented an informative session to a number of Sports Clubs from around the Glenelg region – with an impressive turnout of around 25 Club representatives.

The session covered:

  • Marketing Strategy
  • Social Media
  • Marketing Tools
  • Local Resources and Promotion

Portland Observer and Glenelg Shire Council were also present, to discuss ways in which Clubs could utilise existing resources to further promote Club activity.
