2019 South West Games
The 2019 Federation University Australia South West Games run from the 2nd to the 17th of November hosted by the Glenelg Shire
The South West Games are regionbal Victoria’s premier multi-sport event running since 1983.
The 2019 Federation University Australia South West Games run from the 2nd to the 17th of November hosted by the Glenelg Shire will see around 50 evsnts staged with 4500 participants.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2019:
In addition to traditional sporting events, this year the Games will aim to increase community participation through social & modified sport activities.
The first information and registration night for the 2019 Federation University Australia South West Games will be held in Portland:
- 31 July 2019
- 7 pm to 8 pm
- Reception Room – Glenelg Shire Offices, Cliff St, Portland
All Glenelg Shire sporting clubs will be encouraged to run events.

South West Sport will host monthly meetings in Portland in the run up to the South West Games. These meetings provided an opportunity for the sports directors to be informed of what was happening with the organisation of the Games and what the administrative requirements were for the Sports.
The meetings schedule and venue will be advised shortly.
Opening Ceremony & Dinner
The Opening Ceremony for the Games will be held on Friday 1st November – format to be advised.
Southern Grampians Shire will host municipality of the 2019 South West
Games for the 36th staging of the event.
