South West Sport Virtual Event: 30 Minute Challenge
Presented by: South West Sport, Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation, Portland SEA Change, Portland YMCA, & Hands Up Casterton
Virtual events are a great way to get active. We decided we want in, and we want to invite YOU to join us in our FREE event!
HOW WILL IT WORK? 𝗪𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞:
- 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝟷: Register for the Virtual Event: HERE
- 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝟸: Like our Facebook page
- 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝟹: On the 27th & 28th of June, run, walk, cycle or choose your own adventure for 30 minutes (or more); when, where, and how you want!
- 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝟺: Take a photo* of your activity and upload to Facebook, tag South West Sport, and use the hashtag for your local council area
*Note: You may choose to upload your activity to your fitness app and screen shot your activity (some mobile phones will have pre-loaded apps).
WHERE CAN I PARTICIPATE? Anywhere!
In your back yard, At the Gym,
On a treadmill, At the foreshore,
Around the house, In the bush,
At parkrun, Around the lake!

What are you waiting for?

T&C’s – We just have one rule: anyone who enters the Virtual Event MUST at all times adhere to their local regulations, whether it’s avoiding public spaces, not being in crowds bigger than 100 people, keeping a 1.5m distance from a person or being in complete lockdown.
It is the day of the event. Can I still enter?
Absolutely! You can enter any time before the event or on the event day.

Why 30 minutes?
Finding 30 minutes of physical activity a day can lead to a happier and healthier lifestyle for you and your family.
On the day, what do I have to do?
All you have to do is exercise for 30 minutes or more, upload a photo or screenshot* of your activity to our Facebook page, tag @southwestsportvic and use the hashtag for your local council area
*You may wish to use an app such as Strava or another tracking device
What tags or hashtags should I use?
We’d love for you to tag these organisations;
And use these hashtags depending on where you live;

If you have a private social media account that’s fine! Just make sure you inbox or email us your activity!
