Tackling the Stigma
The physical health benefits of sport and active recreation participation are well known and discussed. Mental health on the other hand, is not as commonly discussed at a community sport level.
🏋️♂️🚴♀️ There are a multitude of mental health benefits obtained by participating in sport and active recreation. 💓
The topic is shrouded by stigma despite its importance. In a world where we may not be able to participate in our favourite pursuits, now is an important time to consider the impact this is having in our clubs and communities.
