White Ribbon is the world’s largest male-led movement to end men’s violence against women. Through primary prevention initiatives and an annual campaign, White Ribbon Australia seeks to change the attitudes and behaviours that lead to and perpetuate family Violence, by leading social change.

Donations to White Ribbon Australia are tax deductible and will support the organisation’s vital work aimed at ending men’s violence against women.

Make your club part of the movement to prevent violence against women. Get some donations happening and show your support by;
-wearing a white uniform
-wearing a white armband
-getting your team to “take the oath”
-wearing white zinc cream
-swapping the traditional male/female roles at your club

Southern Grampians Shire Council is facilitating a White Ribbon Day event at Melville Oval, hosted by local White Ribbon Day ambassador Paul Stanhope and will include a swearing of the oath, releasing of white balloons and a free BBQ lunch.

Warrnambool White Ribbon Day Campaign

The Womens Health & Wellbeing Barwon South West are holding various events to mark White Ribbon Day 2013.

1. Tree Project
Local organisations will sponsor a tree. Their logo and White Ribbon Day promotion will appear on white ribbons that will be draped around prominent local pines in the Warrnambool CBD (surrounding the Civic Green).

2. Cultural Project
The Warrnambool Art Gallery and Lighthouse Theatre will install large scale White Ribbon Day messaging over this time. Other interested organisations are invited to participate please contact as above.

3. Recreation Project The Warrnambool (ARC) Stadium and Aqua Zone will also install large scale White Ribbon Day messaging over this time to draw attention to the WRD campaign and provide a call for action.
