Building Inclusion in Sport

South West Sport supports clubs in the south west to create inclusive, safe and welcoming sporting environments for people with a disability. We work with clubs to develop inclusive participation opportunities that our whole community can enjoy.

Inclusion through:

Funded through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s ‘Together More Active – Access All Abilities’ program, our organisation works to build the capacity of community sporting clubs to be inclusive of people with a disability. We do this through a range of capacity-building activities, including:

Providing club education

Providing 1 to 1 club support

Participation planning

Creating linkages between participants and clubs

Delivering disability inclusion workshops
