South West Sport Community Awards

South West Sport together with Ace Radio brings you the 2024 ‘South West Community Sports Awards’, inclusive of a range of award categories that celebrate clubs and organisation's driving positive community outcomes through sport and recreation, as well as individual awards acknowledging contributions to grassroots community sport, through volunteerism and leadership.

Nominees must meet one of the following criteria to apply:

Be an Individual involved in a sport or recreation club in south west Victoria

or

Be a sport or recreation club or organisation based in south west Victoria

*Applicants can nominate themselves or others, and apply for more than one award category. Activities should have occurred in the 2023 Winter or Summer Seasons.

Criteria: A club that is creating a welcoming, safe & Inclusive environment, that has demonstrated good governance, and growth in participation.

Criteria: A club that is thinking outside the square, to offer innovative participation opportunities and drive member growth.

Community Sport & Recreation Event Of The Year

Criteria: A community sport or recreation event that engages and activates the community.

All Abilities Participation Initiative Of The Year

Criteria: A club or organisation that is creating participation opportunities for people with a disability

Youth Participation Initiative Of The Year

Criteria: A club or organisation that is creating participation opportunities for young people aged 0-25

Healthy Club Initiative Award

Criteria: A club that demonstrates commitment to creating a healthy club environment and positive culture/ Or a club/organisation delivering an initiative to promote health and wellbeing in sport and recreation.

Criteria: Recognises the leadership of a woman who has made an outstanding contribution to their club or sporting community.
